Testimonials

I've had the pleasure of working with Lynette on numerous community organizing projects over the past ten years. Together, we co-chaired a town racial justice group, collaborated on warrant articles for Town Government, led fundraising campaigns, and spearheaded various advocacy efforts. Lynette is a high-energy, results-oriented leader who consistently achieves what she sets out to accomplish.

Under her leadership, a group of six residents successfully recruited and helped elect dozens of candidates to Town Government who were committed to a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) platform. This effort led to a significant increase in participation from underrepresented residents, more than doubling their presence in local government. Additionally, Lynette was pivotal in founding and promoting a successful refugee resettlement program in our community, which has provided critical support to hundreds of asylum seekers.

Lynette's ability to connect with, educate, and motivate residents to engage in town politics is truly remarkable. She worked tirelessly to identify and support candidates, often single-handedly mobilizing the community. Lynette is also highly skilled at building alliances with other stakeholders, securing support for our initiatives.

Finally, she has an exceptional talent for engaging and empowering the youth in our town, serving as a trusted mentor and advocate. Her relationships with media contacts, journalists, and government officials were instrumental in helping students achieve institutional changes within our town and school system. Lynette’s dedication, strategic thinking, and ability to inspire others make her a highly valuable leader in any community initiative.

I had the pleasure of working with Lynette at Harvard’s Center for Continuing Professional Education, and we have stayed connected professionally since then, regularly following up on each other’s progress. Lynette was a valuable asset during her time at Harvard, where she demonstrated unwavering dedication to her work and consistently set ambitious goals, which she almost always achieved. Leading a team of four to six people, Lynette proved to be an outstanding leader, respected by her colleagues for her innovative mindset and results-oriented approach.

Her commitment extends beyond the workplace, as she is also deeply engaged in community advocacy, always ready to support those in need. Lynette has maintained strong professional relationships over the years, and her teammates continue to hold her in high regard. I greatly admire her drive and accomplishments, both professionally and personally, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to any employer.

I had the pleasure of working with Ms. Lynette Martyn during her time at the Multisensory Training Institute (MTI) of Stratford Foundation. As a consultant trainer for MTI, I had numerous occasions to interact with Lynette on a very regular basis. Given the distance (I reside in New York), our contacts were primarily via phone and email, however we also had in-person contact three to four times per year.

During Lynette's time at MTI I observed a dedicated and proactive individual. She initiated and maintained numerous projects aimed at increasing revenue and improving the company's public "persona" and image through excellent marketing, sales, and product development. Lynette was able to use her breadth of knowledge, experience, and contacts to further the mission of MTI.

As a director, I found Lynette to be professional and caring. She was always willing to be flexible and addressed the trainer's needs that were presented to her. Lynette was conscientious and always maintained attention to the organization's fiscal status. Overall, I believe Lynette will be a great asset to any organization. The breadth and depth of her skill set and knowledgebase make her an excellent candidate.

I collaborated with Lynette in her role as Executive Director at the Multisensory Learning Institute, where I served as an external contractor to produce a 4-minute video capturing their teacher training sessions at public school sites in Louisiana. The video showcased the unique early childhood literacy initiatives being implemented by the non-profit. The project involved multiple stakeholders and required travel coordination, yet Lynette was a pleasure to work with throughout. She was respectful of time, an excellent communicator, and clearly conveyed the project’s goals. Lynette was approachable when challenges arose and consistently maintained a high level of professionalism. The project was both enjoyable and impactful, and I would gladly work with her again.
