Welcome!

Welcome!

This website serves as both a professional and personal space for me, depending on what is currently happening in my life. At the moment, I am in the process of restarting my professional career. Community has always meant so much to me. I’ve benefited from a rich and diverse network of friends, acquaintances, and co-workers. To that end, I’m reaching out to expand my network, uncover more opportunities, and gather supportive references.

Please take a moment  to think of one, or ideally more than one person in your circle that you could reach out to who might be interested in someone with my skill set or any recruiter or contracting agencies you might know. I’ve included a brief summary of my strengths below. I’d also welcome the opportunity to explore any thoughts and ideas you may have on how I can further accelerate my job search.

Thanks so much for being a part of my village.  I look forward to connecting with you soon.

All my best,

Lynette

My assets:

  • MBA - lots of experience managing direct reports

  • strong marketing background

  • sales/networking/fundraising skills

  • program, project, events management experience

  • background working in education/academia, non-profits, community organizing (4 yrs Director level at Harvard)

  • entrepreneurship certificate and experience

  • DEI experience, culturally competent (Japanese conversant)

  • great energy, results-driven, leader

Some ideas that would suit me well:

  • Academia - One of my top choices would be to return to academia, working in programming, student services, executive education, HR, project or events management or any marketing capacity.

  • Non-profit - The past ten years I’ve devoted my time to community grass-roots organizing, and diversity and inclusion programming. I’ve also served as the Director of a non-profit.

  • Recruiting - I’ve done this very successfully early in my career, loved it and excelled.

  • Start-ups - Lots of things popping up in the AI sector right now; I’d love this type of new challenge.

  • Travel industry - Much earlier in my career I owned my own tour guide business. I’ve been to over forty countries and organized detailed cross country trips. This is a personal passion that could easily translate into something professional.

I would also welcome short-term, part-time opportunities until I find something more permanent:

  • Teaching English - I am TEFL certified, experienced and an accomplished teacher.

  • Consulting - Do you know a business that could use some temporary or project-based help?

  • Editing/Copywriting - Experienced in editing and developing marketing copy.
